Fall Schedule

I’ll be traveling and training this fall. Take note of where I’ll be, because if I come near where you are and want some relatively free consulting, all you have to do is take me to dinner.

I’ll do almost anything for free food.

September

  • Reston, Virginia
  • San Diego, California

October

  • Stockholm, Sweden
  • Tartu, Estonia
  • Cluj-Napoca, Romania
  • Bucharest, Romania

(The event in Cluj-Napoca is a one-day public seminar that introduces my Rapid Testing methodology through a series of puzzle challenges and lecture. I will also take any and all questions about testing. Click here to sign up for that.)

November

  • Tallinn, Estonia

December

  • Nottingham, England
  • Malmo, Sweden

My full schedule is published here.

    Hi James,

Ireland is close to England! Well…. kind of close… Michael Bolton is coming in September to give the RST course and his “Two Futures Of Testing” talk.

I’m sure that if you are interested in a visit, an event could be arranged for you via SoftTest Ireland.

    It’s an idea anyway :)

[James' Reply: Make me an offer. Perhaps this can be arranged.]

Wonderful, when you will be come to China? Wishes….

Argentina is also waiting for you my Mentor and Guide.
Do not forget ones who live in the South of the Globe. ;)

    Hi,
how about a trip to Czech Republic? I can arrange you speaking in the University about your testing experience and invite you to very good dinner. A lot of testers here are eager to learn.

[James' Reply: I'll go pretty much wherever my clients need me to go. Czech Republic sounds good. Maybe you can set up a class for me. The guy who set up the one day event in Romania got fifty people to show up.]

If you are ever swinging through Vancouver, let me know. I am always looking to exchange ideas on the subject of software test automation and to take you out to dinner seems more than fair. Who knows, maybe you’ll even learn something from me too? :)

[James' Reply: I can see your house. I live on Orcas Island.]

I am glad I was able to make it to the Cluj event.
I would have liked to talk more with you, but I was after a 10 hour train trip, arrived in Cluj at 04:00.
After the workshop I had to wait until 22:00 to take the train back (for another 10 hours trip).
Anyway, it was nice to take part in this, I hope I will have some more occasions like this.

I was just curious how wrong I am about different topics, now I know, I am as wrong as I thought (right about some topics, wrong about others, in between for some :) ).

By the way, this week we will discuss at work about “how much testing is enough” :).

I hope you enjoyed Romania and this first contact will make you come back.

    Hi James,

Your blog says you are visiting Nottingham, England soon. I wondered where/when as it does not appear on your schedule. Do you have any more information on your visit to this green and sceptered isle?

    Cheers,
    Dan

[James' Reply: Hi Dan. My Nottingham client had to reschedule. I may still be coming to England though. We are talking to a couple of potential other clients. I may even come if I have no clients... just because I like England.]
