I bought a camera through Dell. I called and tried to settle a despute I had had with them for several months. Since they were trying to double finance charge me on my bill. They claimed I had payed the bill late. I admit I did once and I paid for the charges there of. However from that point forward they continued to charge me a double finance charge and my bill continued to go up and up. I tried to settle it over the phone on several occasions. On several occasions I had to ask for an english speaking american due to the fact that I simply could not understand what the person was saying or trying to convey. When we could not get the bill settled they sent the bill to their collection agency which is Dell Financial Services. They called me about 20 times in less that 2 days. I sent them a " DONT CALL OR CONTACT ME LETTER" I have not heard from them except to continue getting bills. I have refused to pay the bill since I was trying to return the camera because I could not afford their billing practices. They refused it and said if I returned the camera via U.S. Mail it would be returned to me C.O.D. So I have a cmera I wouldlike to pay off but am not willing to pay more than what was originally agreed to on a written contract. Does any one have any ideas? Thanks for being here so I could let others know that Dell is not the company they claim to be.

My experience with Dell "support" of my Dell system turned out to be a complete waste of a LOT of time. I called them with one problem, yet by the time Dell support gave up and told me I was on my own I had at least three MORE problems as a result of executing their instructions. I now turn to a local PC in-home repair service that gets the job done right.
One of the big problems I experienced with Dell support was the language barrier. Apparently Dell's support is somewhere in India in the wee hours of the morning when I need it. The techs I spoke with were unwilling/unable to slow their speech to help me understand the words they said despite my repeated requests for that.
Worst of all, Dell charges extra for such service. What a sham!!!!
